We are very aware that taking the "patient-eye" view of practice life is very useful. We have valued the information we have gleaned over the years from all the patient surveys we have done. We decided to take this a step further and launch a patient - participation group. We had a first meeting in May this year.
We are hoping to expand the group so that we can have a core membership of about 12 people who will be willing to come to meetings approximately 4 - 6 times per year. We would also like a wider group of people who are willing to let us contact them by email to get feedback. We are interested in your views on things like:
- What works well in the practice
- Where we could do better
- What services do we not currently offer but may be useful
- How could we improve the nuts and bolts – such as the waiting room
- What are we like at communicating with patients?
If you would like to know more about taking part - please send us an email or ring the surgery and ask to speak to the practice manager.
October 2011 - please take part in our survey! There are paper copies available in the waiting room.
